Latest news: updated 25 October 2024

Taught Degree Awarding Powers were conferred by the Privy Council and approved by the Scottish Parliament on 14 October 2024, and the first cohort of vet students started their studies at the new School of Veterinary Medicine the same day.

Our BVSci veterinary medicine training programme is the first degree that will be entirely delivered and awarded by ºÚ±¬ÁÏ, and applications for 2025 entry remain open in UCAS.

Applications submitted to UCAS prior to 15 October are currently being processed.

Why are we different? The ºÚ±¬ÁÏ School of Veterinary Medicine will use innovative teaching methods and curriculum design to ensure that students are fully prepared to work in the variety of high demand sectors.
